I would rather have sharp object stuck in my eyes than watch that. I did not find it funny at all, rather annoying. Bring back Dead Like Me an I will be happy!

One of my all-time favourite shows. So many hilarious moments and very cleverly put together as well. Outstanding ensemble cast particularly the women...

Have seen the first 4 series on DVD but thought that quality was dropping off slightly... is it still being made in the US?

*chokes on pubic hair* :D

Wow... I didn't realise there'd been so many series! I'd caught a few episodes on More4 and they were great! But it fell victim to my inability to remember when TV shows are on, so I lost track of it.

Looks like it'll be a DVD purchase in the near future.

A while ago I heard a jewish writer say on television that that's because of the different views we (as in 'we Dutch people', as opposed to US citizens) have on Jews. We Europeans can not deal with jewish self mockery humor because of the 'guilt' we still feel towards the jews for the 2nd w.w.

Sounds far fetched.... But it helps to appreciate the show by knowing the US life style, the difference between East (especially NYC) and West coast and to have a couple of "jewish" Larry David type fiends :)

i love curb your enthusiasm! it is hilarious and a little different from seinfeld, which i also love.

my favorite episodes are all from season 5: "the ski lift" and "the seder."

As a long time fan of the work of Larry David, Curb is definately his best. But I found the The Producers story arc of series 4 a bit lame, and although there were some good eps in that series I still found it a bit wanting.

That said, it's still funnier than practically anything else at the moment .... but I am a miserable git so thats hardly surprising.

Backwards Logic

I started watching CYE on Ch4 and thought it was just fantastic, then found out about Seinfeld and now hooked on them both.

If forced to choose (can't see why I ever would be) I'd go for Seinfeld as it just seems more consistently funny, and it's got Kramer.
