I am a student, and because I am coming and going from class so much, I keep my phone in my backpack on vibrate. Being a girl, I can't comfortably keep my phone in my jeans pocket where I can feel it. I always get a quick text and forget to reply for hours because I forget to check my phone in my backpack.

I would like to have alerts on my Macbook when I get a text/iMessage or an alert from another app. Does anyone know of a way to do this? I'm operating on iOS 5 on my iPhone and Lion on my Macbook. What would be even better than an alert would be being able to respond to the text on my Macbook- it's rude to respond to a text in class. I know that an iPhone and Macbook cannot bluetooth to one another from my own research. Any other suggestions?

I don't think so. Not until Apple decides to integrate iMessage into OSX Lion (which I think they are working on)
