The power button on my iPhone SE (first generation) no longer works. If I press it, the screen does not lock/unlock. The rest of the phone works fine.

Occasionally I can get the screen to lock if I try to press on the power button like 100 times.

Has anyone had Apple fix their power button before? If so, how much did it cost? I just had a chat with Apple's online support, and they did not know how much it would cost. They only said I should take my phone in to an Apple Store to get it looked at. I don't want to drive almost a half hour before I know how much it will cost to fix/replace the power button.

Apple won't repair it they'll want to charge you for an out of warranty replacement if one is still available. Out of warranty replacement would definitely cost more than phone is worth so not sure how much you're willing to spend. A 3rd party is your best bet and the cheapest option if you're dead set on repairing it

Crazy level of travel required. My Apple Store is 2 hours away.
