Apple won’t release these details. I wouldn’t be worried about it.

I’ve been wearing hearing-aids since I was 7 years old. I’m 23. I don’t have ear cancer or brain cancer. If hearing aids did not give me cancer in the past 16 years with it’s small amount of radiation. I seriously doubt iPhone will.

Do not worry about it.

I've been told you would have to have a device next to your head all day long to have it hurt you.
I do not know if this advice given to me is valid or not.

I’m concerned that the 11, 11 Pro, and Pro Max are in customers hands and we are not told how much radiation this product is giving off to pregnant mothers, or around young children. And heavy phone users.

And as of last month FCC and UL are re-testing high radiation levels on iPhones.
Why worry about radiation when you can take slofies!!!!!!!
Dude slofies!!!

Again, hearing aids for 16 years. That’s 140,160 hours. Let’s make that around half. I have 70,080 hours of exposure give or take to hearing aid’s radiation. I am not injured in any way.

You are paranoid. Don’t worry about it.

Pregnant mothers? Do you keep your phone on your belly while on a call? The radiation is ~0 in standby, and the radiation will definitely NOT travel from your ear or from your pocket to the belly.

An anecdotal experience.

I have an iPhone Max. I usually use earbuds, btw. Anyways, a few month back I started putting it in my left back pocket. It was only there for a short while actually, facing inward (for screen protection). After doing this for about a month or two, I started getting a dull throbbing pain in the ass cheeck (upper part). It was strange, and felt like a soar muscle but it was constant, dull, throbbing. Now, I wasn't putting two and two together. I didn't even think of the phone. But one night I tallied up what I was perhaps doing differently to cause this.

Bingo. Couldn't believe it. It just seemed like a too perfect cause and effect, and couldn't help wondering......well all sorts of things. So I stopped it and the pain was gone.

Remember, back in the 50s people thought that NO WAY would anyone sell cigarettes to people if they were bad for you. People would actually say this out loud often. They would say they have been smoking two packs a day for thirty years and they're fine.

Then 5 years done the road.....

Enyoy your new iPhone. I just ordered a 11 MAX! Pickup tomorrow. :)

So Calif
@willmtaylor is correct.

Why are people getting all upset over very low RF transmissions ??

I'd worry more about that high energy microwave transmitters on rooftops and hilltop paging / trunking transmitters.

Not 0.3W or less cellular. Cellular used to be 3 Watts (remember the old lunchbox cellular 450MHz, operator assisted, repeater using half duplex) ??

BTW: I am a licensed General FCC radio operator!

Pretty terrible comparison honestly.

And I've had 3-4 XS Max sitting next to me almost constantly since October. I'm not worried about a thing. It's harmless.
Definitely not harmless. Takes many years for smokers to often develop cancer. Same logic applies here.

Thanks for posting this. Rather surprising. Wonder how my Note 9 compares to the 10.

So Calif
That $50 eBay / Amazon tester is not a scientific RF analyzer.
If you really want a true RF analyzer, expect to pay over $10,000 for a true wideband frequency and power analyzer.
Tektronix makes a real time power & frequency analyzer for about $10K: https://www.tek.com/spectrum-analyzer/rsa5000#product-list

People who do videos like this to scare people are looking to become click bait famous.

Also, people who worry about RF transmission need to lose their phone, move to the moon or live in a cave.

Maximum SAR for iPhone 11 as reported by OFCA Hong Kong:

Cert. No. /
Ref. No.
Equipment Category
Maximum S.A.R. value
in W/kgNote
Apple A2221
  • GSM / DCS 1800 Dual Band Mobile Radiotelephone
  • Third Generation Mobile Radiotelephone
  • LTE Mobile Radiotelephone
  • 2.4 / 5 GHz Wireless LAN Equipment
  • Other Radio Equipment Exempted from Licensing (including Low Power Devices)
  • Ultra Wideband (UWB) Device
1.62

  • According to the recommendation of the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the safety limit in terms of Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)* should be 2 Watts/kg.
*The "Specific Absorption Rate" applicable to hand-held mobile phones
Human exposure to radiofrequency radiation from hand-held mobile phones is generally evaluated using the Specific Absorption Rate ("SAR") which is a measuring scale of the rate at which radiofrequency energy is actually absorbed per kilogramme of tissue in a human body. The SAR is usually expressed in "watts per kilogramme" ("W/kg"). In consultation with the Department of Health, CA has adopted the widely accepted SAR limits of the ICNIRP and the IEEE. The SAR limits of the ICNIRP and the IEEE applicable to hand-held mobile phones are 2 W/kg.

In a pinch, you might they the new IEEE walk in clinic.

My friend severed with the United States Air Force in radio equipment, and he studied the issue of radiation from radio waves heavily. This was during the Vietnam and Cold War era. I went to him and showed him some posts online about cell phone radiation, and he was laughing the hardest I've seen him in years. He said not only were the effects overstated, but that people have been sucking in much higher doses of radiation on the daily with all the signals that have been transmitted. I highly agree with him. There are so many devices and things transmitting RF waves all around us constantly, that refusing to buy a cell phone in order to avoid sucking up radiation is a moot point. It may speed it up in rare cases, but this is a very small piece of the puzzle.
