the Nike+ adapter will work with 3G iphones? It is not listed as compatible on the Nike+ website, but it is listed to be compatible with the iPod touch which is essentially the same as the 3G without the phone part.

Has anyone tried this? I am really wanting to track my runs with this thing

Nike+ only works on the 3G S and the iPod touch 2nd gen. It has to do with the bluetooth chip. The 3G lacks this chip as the 2nd gen iPod touch is newer than the 3G.
