Anyone know of a RELIABLE video download app

YOu can be playing a youtube video and VIDEO DOWNLOADER will tell you...no media to process...others do nothing sometimes not even open....so many download software out there but many do not work at all.
I am using the Chrome Browser.

If you Google "ytd" it's literally the first result.

On the rare occasion I want to grab a clip, I usually just use the developer tools in Safari to find it. Usually the .mp4 directly can be found looking at what resources load when the page with the clip loads.

What DARTH failed to disclose is that YTD, deletes your start page and installs its own and the download function is as hidden as a cold day in Miami..........this is why the net is the number one source of bad information.

I have been using ClipGrab and it is working reliably for me, however I have not researched many other products (because this one works for me)
