Anyone know why facebook is taking up so much space?

So as the question suggests, the facebook app is taking way too much space. Almost half a gig. What are they storing that could be almost 500 mb?

According to most users it's part of the cache.

I would say like 2-5 times a day. I would expect the app to clear caches that are old. But im just gonna delete it and install it again

Delete it and don't reinstall it - reinstall Paper! If you haven't tried it you really should, it's a much better way to use Facebook.
