Lol you sound like an angry apple fanboy. So typical.
I'm not sure why you feel the need to insult me. I was explaining why I feel that the rMBP is a phenomenal machine and why I feel that your statement that it is "underwhelming" is wrong, not that there's something wrong with you personally.
As for the processor, yes, Haswell will be MUCH better. Sandy bridge to IVY bridge was like going from the iPhone 3G to the iPhone 3GS. Ivy Bridge to Haswell will be like going from the iPhone 3G to the iPhone 5. It is a HUGE jump in performance, not just incremental like the Ivy bridge is.
Another commenter has already confirmed what I said previously: every new generation falls short on it's intended performance.
Also how does a laptop "only lag on facebook" lol. That is the most absurd comment i have ever heard. If facebook is lagging UI wise, that is a product of the web browser, which is exactly what I am talking about, and will carry over to other sites.
I only experienced a slower UI on Facebook. That's just my experience. Maybe Facebook requires more power to be displayed smoothly. You're correct that this is a problem with the machine. I don't see it impacting my experience significantly.
You can try to justify your purchase all you want. I never said it was not a beautiful machine. But I am going to be laughing next year when you see the power of the Haswell processor, and really how much of a difference it makes.
I don't need to justify my purchase to a random person on the internet to feel good about it. You can laugh all you'd like next year when Haswell arrives, but the situation will be no different. You'll still be butthurt over your low-end Mac and the dissatisfaction it causes you every day to think that you could have had something better.
