I won't be using a screen protector - I never do. I've never cracked a screen; my dog did scratch my 7 screen just barely but AT&T still accepted it for trade so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If I was worried about reselling the phone down the road, I would so those micro scratches don't show up.

But now I think I will just send my phone into Apple every year(this year they offer $525 for the X) and not worry about it whatsoever. I have been running without one on my X for the past 5 months and have no issues except the coating on the glass definitely has rubbed off and my glass attracts smudges.

Never used one. It won't stop a screen from smashing either and it's not 2004 any more so device screens are resilient to a little abuse.

But just look after your expensive gadgets then you won't need to garnish them with cheap tat.

I never use them, I hate the feel of them and the fact you can feel the lip of the edge of the smooth phone.. and rightly or wrongly I still feel they 'numb' the scree slightly. IMHO.

I also never put things in the pocket of my phone and for the last year ive been using my X naked but with a slip case only..

I guess I'm just overly careful. (although its always in my chest pocket snowboarding :)

Never had a screen protector since the iPhone 6 and up. Never had a single scratch, screens have been fine for a loooooong time.

Never, ever used a screen protector on anything. Not on iPhones, not on iPads. And I don't "baby" them -- these are tools to be used. Never, ever had a scratch on any Apple iOS device screen.

I won’t be. I’ve gone the past 11 months with no case and no screen protector on my X and it’s still in lovely condition.

This next year has the potential to be even better if the alleged glass improvements hold true.

I doubt I’ll ever use a case/screen protector again. I’ve gotten too used to my phones being nakit. The only iPhone I’ve used a case with was my 6+ and that was only because it was a slippery bugger.

Never needed one. Not that I don’t condone them , I just don’t prefer them. I take really good care of my iPhones and I think they’re durable enough today were you really don’t need one, but I would say that depends on one’s handling with their phone.

Never. Screen protectors are ugly and ruin the feel of the screen. Not as smooth, and edges suck, especially on the iPhone X style where you’re always swiping from the bottom edge of the screen. You’ll always be scraping the edge of the screen protector with your finger.

I’ve found them pretty resilient, or I’m just very lucky. But thanks to my stupid nerve damage and spasms, my phones have been wheeked across rooms into hard floors/furniture/unsuspecting dog.

As well as dropped onto lots of different surfaces from wood to stone. I’ve not had a break/dent/anything beyond minute scratches so far. And there’s always AppleCare should the worst happen.

Always kept my phones in an Otterbox Defender. Now even they don’t come with a screen protector. As much as I’d like to, I’m very nervous about not using one on my new iPhone XS. I appreciate everyone’s comments as they will help me to decide.

Anyone doing a case without a screen protector on their XS max?

None here on my X, haven't used a screen protector in years. Not even a case. I figure I have AppleCare and I'm handing the phone in after a year so why bother? Might as well enjoy the phone the way it's meant to be enjoyed, it's just too nice looking and feeling to cover it up.

Never used one, just ordered an Xs and I won't start now. After time you get a couple of scratches but they are never bad enough to bother me. Sure you can see them if the phone is asleep and you look for them but honestly I don't care and I never notice them when actually using the phone.
