Just noticed this on the new pencil pro. It was pre-ordered the day it went live, and picked up on launch day. It's been on and off the iPad. It lines up with where the mag attachment on the side of the iPad M4 11".

you can wipe it off. its there by way of how the pen charges on the ipad. its been like this since the first pencil could charge on top like that. i keep my pencil in a case so i dont have this issue. you should be able to wipe it off. my recommendation is to keep it off the top when its full to keep this from occurring.

Kinda dumb to not keep it on top since it will be dead when you really need it. 🤷‍♂️
when i use the pencil it stays on top and when im done for a while ( longer than a day) i put it in the case so this very issue doesn't happen. never had the pencil die on me and ive been doing this for years across all ipads ive had.

That what it looks like after I cleaned it. My other pencil that attaches to my 11" m1 Pro doesn't have that mark at all.

i had that happen a long time ago with an older pencil. i was able to wipe it off. after that point, i never left it on the top longer than i needed to. its possible the burn mark is permanent now if its been there a while. sorry this happened to you bro.
