So I exchanged my original iPhone 6S because of what appeared to be a finger print or dust on the top left corner of the screen. Originally my replacement was fine (except for yellow tint screen), now I'm seeing the same dust formation on the upper left portion of the screen on the replacement.

So my hunch is that something between the panel and glass is not sealed right, anyone else seeing this?

Very difficult to photograph but check with 100% brightness and all white screen.

Does it look like black dust just above the signal dots? I've had it to varying degrees on all five of my 6S+. I would just live with it because in my experience they all have it. I don't think it's dust, nor dead pixels. Don't ask me what it is though!

Yes, exactly right above the signal dots! It must be leaking in from somewhere, really annoying :(

When I got my replacement, I carefully checked it and am sure it was not there.

With four of mine it was very noticeably there out of the box. I didn't swap any of them due to that but I've noticed that this latest one doesn't really have the issue. From what you're saying it could soon have though!

What strange though is the lcd panel is suppose to be laminated to the glass, this means that theoretically there should be no way something can come in between the two (if I understand correctly).

Might be some issue when they laminate the two.

I bet many have simply not noticed this yet.

You'd have struggled not to notice it on my first four. It's one of the first things I spotted.
The screens this year aren't very good are they. Numerous faults.

If it bothers you, you'll have to take it back and exchange it again. Nothing else you can do unfortunately.

My 6s plus has dust inside the camera lens... I dont think its a death and life issue but i do feel that seemed weird because i thought the tolerance of manufacturing was tight and previse

Not sure about the screen tho mine looks okay so far. If ur in the 2 week window u can return refund n get another one if it irks u but thats up to u

Like you said unless you turn the brightness up to 100% with a white screen you may not notice it. My S+ has not been over about 50% and for sure I can't see it and it does not bother me. But, Apple gives you the choice to replace it.

After 7 iPhone 6 screens I had no dust! I exchanged them because of uniformity issues. Im on my 8th now and the screen had no yellowing and only one dimmer smudgy area but it also has one tiny speck of dust right in the corner by the signal bars! It's right at the edge and it's only noticeable if I look at it at a slight angle but I know it's there! Oh well I've learned to live with it. The QC on the iphone6/6S isn't good this generation. They just pump out so many phones there is bound to be a bunch of duds with these little nagging issues.

Having the same issue in the top left corner. It can't be unseen once you noticed it. I'll definitely get a replacement because this is annoying the living **** out of me.

I just had my launch day 6S replaced by Apple because of small black spots appearing in the top left corner of my screen. The spots appeared and grew over the course of about 6 weeks and could really be seen on white backgrounds. The spots were definitely under the pixels, and looked like delimitation of the backlight diffusion layer to me.

Don't have that issue with my phone. I've seen phones with junk under the screen and its really annoying.

Please submit your iPhone for a replacement or servicing before its too late.
