It hasn't for a while, very frustrating. It was such a good app. Anyone know what happened?

I use it with some frequency, mine hasn't stopped working AFAIK[?] In fact, I used it on Sunday (12/3) at a dance recital because I wanted to know who was doing a particular version of a Christmas song. Worked exactly as expected (and it's right there in My Shazams).

For reference: iPX running 11.2

I use Shazam occasionally. I have found it works but not as well as it used to. It's ability to determine the song etc... has decreased noticeably. For me this was iOS 10 and beyond. I have been using Google for this feature as I have found it works better than Shazam.

Still, I try Shazam every now and then.

It doesn’t work obviously. LOL

:D

Well, true. However, the specific non-operational behavior might be a clue as to a solution.

Does it just not run, i.e., you tap it starts to open and just quits out to the springboard?

Does it appear to listen, but never return any results ("Can't match")

Is there some microphone issue? Permissions and/or restrictions?

Can't match, launches fine

Does it seem that it's actually listening (and has microphone access)? Have you tried reinstalling the app? Restarting the device?

What device and iOS version are we talking about?

6S running 10.2, I'm jailbroken but it worked poorly when I was stock too.

I've always used Soundhound. Is there a difference between the two?
They are generally the same but Soundhound can recognize it if you hum it. SH was more accurate too especially foreign songs.

I went back to using Shazam though. It's the ad-free one on Android since Google Assistant couldn't recognize songs while I had the Pixel on 7.1.2. On iOS, I use Siri to do it. Shazam isn't downloaded on my iPhone.
