I have been getting throttled every month for years now. Really hoping they put an end to this soon.

What have you been hearing.
And AT&T's claim is that customers still get unlimited data, even if it's just at 2G speeds.AT&T is challenging the FTC's jurisdiction, since they are regulated by the FCC.
2 months in a row now I had to call in to have the throttling removed even though my bill cycle started over. It's like they are really trying to do everything possible to get us to switch off
I'm sure they are. They want us on more lucrative data plans. Funny how they can give away 40GB of data for the price of 20GB without any "congestion" issues.
They claim it's about bandwidth congestion when it's clearly about greed.
Ditto, any plan 10gigs or higher is gonna cost me more money, any less and while i'll save money, overages will be a big issue. My bill is $72 for 450 minutes, 1000 texts, and unlimited data. The reason I still have it is the cost. Show me a cheaper plan and I'll make the switch.
At&t is changing its throttling policies in Q1 or Q2 of this year. They will only throttle when you are on a congested tower.
Can you tell us where you read that?
As for the data throttling suit, the FTC complained about AT&Ts practice of slowing the data speeds of unlimited customers after they use a certain amount of data each month. AT&T is still throttling unlimited data users with LTE devices after they exceed 5GB each month. These customers see their speeds dramatically reduced even when AT&Ts network is not congested. Later this year, AT&T claims it will stop throttling these customers except in cases when cell towers are congested. AT&T already applies this less strict policy to non-LTE devices.
There is NO reason to still be holding onto AT&T's pathetic unlimited plan; well, unless you just enjoy bragging that you have it? I gave it up for the $100 20BG plan back in October.
Absolutely no reason to still have it. AT&T will never change the data threshold. You are all over paying for it, too.
I hope something changes. Sadly any Mobile Share plan I would switch to would cost 15-35 dollars a month more so I'm not gonna do that.
If T-mobile manages to get towers setup in one area I visit each summer I would definitely consider switching.
There is, its cost efficient, especially for an individual line.
T-Mobile does have unlimited LTE. Their huge differentiatior is offering unlimited data, so I highly doubt they will go away with it anytime soon. You can still get unlimited Data for Tmobile, just not for LTE. They automatically sign you up for mobile share data with rollover for LTE on all new accounts. I wouldn't be surprised if T mobile does away with unlimited data all together.
I still have my AT&T UDP and I can say they've tried everything under the sun to get me to switch to a mobile share plan. I average about 5 1/2 - 6 GB on a bad month so I'm good. I only have a single line but it would make sense for anyone with more than two lines on an account.

This. No use going to a mobile share plan when there's only one line on the account. And I don't think anyone is bragging over still having an ATT UDP, since they've been throttling for years now and is basically useless after 5GB's, but still better than getting raped under a tiered plan with overages.
