Anyone pickup Gears of War ultimate edition today?

Just started it this afternoon. Probably two hours in. So far just playing the campaign and really enjoying it. I believe I played GOW 2 and 3 on Xbox 360, but never the original so this is a new play for me.
 
Glad it is only $40 - may pick it up as I've only played a tad of each of them.

Looks like when you get the UE, you get downloads of the original ones?

I find it kinda weird if they are redoing GoW for the next gen that they are going out of their way to make the original ones compatible...

The gears of war remake is the first one only, with the addition of pc exclusive levels, some revamp to maintain continually during the story, and a few other things like the gears 5 beta.

Also, the Xbox 360 versions will be released after backwards compatibility is released, around November if I think correctly.

Yeah with two purchases, you can get all the Halo games and all the Gears of War games on your Xbox console. It's a good time to be a gamer.

Just to clarify, halo:reach is not included in Halo:MCC. Halo:ODST download code was sent free to people who owned Halo:MCC last year, but it is now a purchased game add-on for new purchasers ($5 or $10 I think.). Still a great deal for both gears & halo fans.
