Hi

I love my leather link bands. Anyone continuing to wear the leather link during summer? NYC can be hot and humid and I wonder if the band will continue to be comfortable?

You can wash leather stuff. Take the strap off, wash it in soap and water, let it dry, and perhaps condition it.

Leather straps for watches have been around for eons. They're not a new Apple thing.

Some scenarios :
If I have to go to work I will use it because I'll be using my car that has AC on all the time, the office has AC on all the time.... sweating isn't an issue.

If I work from home I will rather use a sport loop, it's so comfortable.

If I have to go out and see some friends (it still happens from time to time) I check the temp, if It's really hot and we have to sit outside I will rather use a sport loop... I sweat a lot with a leather loop or a sport band.

If I will go outside for a run or bike I will use a Nike sport band

My leather brown link band should rest in the hot season as I am afraid it will be discolored by moisture and sweat. I have now bought a black leather link which I think holds up better when it comes to discoloration.

Hi

@RealPhone How tightly do you wear your leather link?

I haven't worn either of my leather link bands in about a month (I live in Tokyo - it's been warm for a while and it'll be miserably hot and humid until about October) ... I plan to start wearing them again, in the fall.

On hot summer days I wear my leather bands only in the evenings (restaurants etc.). I switch bands a lot anyways, sometimes several times a day if I change clothes for certain occasions (exercise, work, gardening, going out etc.). In general I prefer the nylon sport loops and braided solo loops on hot days. The least comfortable bands in my opinion are the silicone solo loops when it's humid.
