I have a pick up game tomorrow, and I'm thinking about wearing it to track the activity. Anyone play basketball with their Apple Watch?

I use it while playing. Just wear a wristband over top of it to protect it and keep it from snagging on anything or anyone. Not sure how accurate the heart rate monitoring is while playing, though. I might try wearing a chest strap to see if that gives any different results. Seems to do a reasonable job counting steps.

Thanks for the tips.

If you don't care about scratches and scuffs, then it is fine. Anyone who plays pickup ball knows how much contact there is. Sprained fingers, scratches, etc. seem to happen in every game.

Personally I would just get a basic band like the xiaomi mi fit for that stuff. But if you don't care about aesthetic appearance, then by all means. It should be good for messages and stuff too.
