I wish I had an answer for that. I am also in between mixed ideas on what to do :(

But as a role-playing Apple Support Employee, I can suggest : Try the iPad Pro :D lol

Unfortunately I cannot run illustrator on the iPad Pro. Nor have I found a solution for typing code. Oh, and Apple told me that I would need to exchange / return the machine through the Apple online store.

Interesting that you can drop it off the Apple Store.

I think I am going to hold of buying the 2016 now and wait for the Mid update or Late update with the problems solved.

Are you still in the return period ? Maybe you can hold on to your old machine now and wait for couple months for the update ?

The biggest problem is needing *some* machine for use on the go. It doesn't need to be a powerhouse either, with the quad i7 4ghz iMac on my desk. I just need something for code and maybe a little illustrator. I'm not picky. I just need it to work.

I received this machine yesterday. Will the keys maybe stop making the clicking noise after a while? I can't imagine they would...
