Bought mine through att.com and i'm thinking about returning mine to an Att store and getting a white one at the apple store.

Also if I return it, would I still be under the 2 year contract?

how will u return it, they'll charge a restocking fee

He'll pay the restocking fee?

AT&T stores are subject to a $35 restocking fee. I'm not sure if it still applies if you just exchange for a different device though.

OP, are you allowed to return something from att.com to an AT&T store? I didn't know you can do this.

AT&T store will most certainly charge 10% restocking fee...

Apple store doesn't. But, they will push the contract back, so you can go to apple store.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

To answer your thread title, no I don't regret buying a 4S in black. I didn't want a white one and still don't.

OP, just to clear things up, you HAVE to take the phone back to an AT&T store. Apple will not do it for you.

You have to take a phone back from where you purchased it.

Actually I talked to the ATT customer rep. and he said that there wont be a restocking fee since I bought it at att.com and he also said that I can return the phone at a att store.

If this iPhone was an upgrade, just be sure that AT&T resets your upgrade eligibility when you return it, else when you go to Apple, your upgrade eligibility won't be reflected and they'll charge you full retail.
