I replaced a 6 Plus battery using the iFixit kit. Getting the old battery out was tricky, but achieved it eventually. New battery installed and put back together again. It powered up OK but then I realised after a while the battery level was not increasing when plugged it. Eventually it ran down to zero and powered off and now won't power back up. I scrapped it!
This could have been a user issue. It’s possible that the very tiny lead on the dock connector that carries the positive or negative currency to the battery may have been misaligned.

Back in November, I paid someone I found on Facebook who advertised they would come to my house to replace a battery so I had them come out that same day for my 6S+. Battery was and still is excellent.

Later that month, I ordered a battery for my 6S from iFixit and did that one myself. Worked perfectly and still does even though I don't use that phone all that much today.

My 6+ still shows a capacity of 94% so I haven't bothered to replace it's battery since that would be pointless.
