iPad Anyone replacing iPad/iPhone combo with Duo?

Doesn’t work for me as I cycle a lot and I want the lightest phone possible in my jersey pocket, but if it wasn’t for that.. I’d consider it. Anyone thinking about it?

OLED makes it a no go for me. I can get away with OLED on my iPhone since I barely use it (10 minutes per day average).

Meanwhile, I'm on my iPad mini for 8+ hours a day and I can't replace that with the OLED Duo.

I will. I'll hold onto iPad, but my use is decreasing. It's not easy to carry everywhere for me and the magic keyboard really adds a lot of weight.

Not yet. I will one day when they can completely eliminate the crease and improve the durability of the inner display. In the meantime, I’ll continue using both an iPhone and iPad mini and just carry both around.

I say "no" right now, but when I go to the store, my heart will say yes, and then my brain will say absolutely not.

Not for me. I'm not willing to compromise on the phone experience by stepping down from the Pro Max lineup. I've gotten fond of the action button for shortcuts and the telephoto camera. I feel like keeping my Pro Max and iPad Mini combo works better for me.

One thing I am excited about is hopefully UI improvements that result from development for the Duo trickle down to the iPad lineup.

I think so, even though I have to switch from Pencil Pro to the USB-C Pencil. I also doubt whether it will support features like Stage Manager, Window management, and extended monitor support.

Definitely going to reduce my bag weight. Having a Duo (iPhone + iPad hybrid), I can only carry my Mac in the bag instead of another iPad. When I don't have my Mac, I can still just bring a keyboard and use it with my Duo for some tasks. The only thing I wonder is if the Duo supports mice and trackpads without the need for AssistiveTouch as the current iPhones do. If so, it's gonna be a great mini desktop computer I can just carry in my pocket.

Yep I will be. I have an iPad Pro 11" with Nano and an iPad mini. I always wish the iPad mini had a nano display as I love that so much (my MBP and Studio Display also have the nanotexture display). I don't really use the iPad Pro 11 and it just becomes a sofa device.

So I'll be trading my iPads and iPhone Air for the iPhone duo. the Nanotexture is the thing that has finally swung it for me.

I'm also a cyclist and think the phone should just about fit in the jersey!
