Anyone reserve the iPad 2 at BB?

I did, and they gave me a $100 Gift card. What I don't understand is if that is whats going towards the iPad or if that's an "extra" $100 just for reserving it. I asked and she said that it was the "incentive". Not sure what she meant by that...:apple:

BTW I'm the 2nd person who preordered the entire day! I get dipps on the next shipment!

I was at BB today and the guy said I need to pay them $100 as a deposit. They gave you money instead? Pretty cool.
 
Nah, I gave them $100 and they gave me a $100 gift card back. She said it was as an incentive... idk
 
I reserved mine with a $100 gift card and they had to transfer it to another $100 gift card and gave that gift card to me. No clue why, but they gave me the gift card, a receipt, and a flyer with which one I had reserved stapled to it.
 
I'm pretty sure that your $100 reserve is now a gift card that you put towards the purchase.
 
Yes, the $100 that you pay goes towards the purchase of the iPad, BUT this gift card is totally refundable. So, no risk to you.

I reserved a 32GB 3G (AT&T) at one, and took the same gift card to another Best Buy and reserved the 64Gb 3G (AT&T). I used the same gift card so, who ever calls first that's the one I'll pickup. I had the 32GB 3G Verizon, but in my area Verizon isn't that great and I travel abroad a lot.

Yeah same thing happened to me. They let me reserve it yesterday at 5:05pm. They said they would call me in 24 hours. That didn't happen. I hope early next week.

I was told the shipments that were going to drop on saturday are going to come in on Tuesday.
 
Local BB had a whole skid sitting there today, I thought they were first gens til I saw the front of the box, then the guy said they had first gens but they were in back and $100 bucks cheaper. Its showing sold out in the system, but I've heard their system hasn't been upgrading.

By the way, its the Barboursville, WV store. I'll try to run down tomorrow, only 6 miles or so, and snap a photo or two to post if they have them.

Do they add your name and number to a list to call once they receive more? I'm tempted to do this but want to make sure that they'll follow through with their promise.

It's all very official. I reserved the model I wanted today. The associate took out a filing box and filled out my contact info onto a flyer for my model. Rang me up for a $100 gift card used toward the purchase of iPad 2 of my choice when they get it in. Essentially the BB's are letting customers reserve their imcoming shipments instead of just stocking them as they trickle in. I'm second in line for my model of choice. Hoping for next week!

Ah okay, thanks a bunch! I'll go ahead and reserve one tomorrow.
 
Well here is to hoping that I get it next week. :). It's not a bad wait since I have an iPad 1 already :)

Pumped about this though. Wish they could get the supply over the demand on launches, but that'll never happen, LOL
 
First in line for 64gb WiFi. Im curious if BB ever receives more stock on sundays or if i can just forget about today? This wait is gonna be tough haha.
 
Reserved my 16 gig white wi-fi today. Think I'm going to go to another best buy and reserve there too. I'm only going to be in the city for a week.

I reserved my AT&T 32gb @ Best Buy Mobile yesterday. They didn't know about the reservation program until I asked, so I'm getting the first one that comes in!
 
I went in late yesterday morning and reserved a 32gb Black wifi only model. I was about 6th or 7th on the list, so I'm hoping I get one this week (and also hoping it doesn't have light leaks).
 
I did, was also the 2nd that day to reserve.

Thought the "deposit" was strange because its certainly not like most deposits.
 
I'm pretty sure I'm high up on the list since most people got theirs at the Best Buy I went to, and when i reserved it, it was only 5:05. I saw maybe three people ahead of me reserving it. LOL! ;-).

I can't wait.
