Anyone rip open a LaCie drive before?

My 160GB LaCie is failing, it's out of warranty. I wanted to go buy a regular ol IDE drive and slap it in there.

It's about a year old, anyone know if I can put a bigger than 160 in there as long as it fits? Wondering about that LBA issue where no matter what size drive you put in it comes back as a 127 if your cabinet doesn't support something

Anyone know?

iirc, the threshold is 120gb, so if you can do a 160 now, anything larger shouldn't be a problem.
