One of the smarter commenters pointed out that in the reflection of the body, one can still see the Firewire port. Photoshop fail :D

Photoshop Fail! Honestly my first thought was that this was something to do with an Ultrabook given the hype that they have gotten.

Another photo released of "nouvelle norme". I still have no idea what it is. My guess is it's an early April fools joke.

It may very well be. Whatever that screen is, it isn't a MBP. The black contrast isn't quite right. And if it was a MBP, it is missing quite a few keys. If it is Apple related, which it seems as only they use that piano black screen style IIRC, then it must be for the iPad. Does the iPad screen have that size of a black gloss border around the screen?

The right button between Alt and Ctrl says "Wuala", which is LaCies brand for secure cloud storage:

The interface looks interesting for me at least... Right now I'm working with a MBP and a Wacom tablet, and this suggests an integrated solution ;)

But it still doesn't make much sense to me. Given the bad photoshop in the last picture, I doubt this is something that will be ready soon, unless it is just a MBP shell and they wanted to spice up things a bit.

My image shows the reflection more clearly (click to enlarge):

So it's a notebook that will be introduced in the summer.. Well they clearly used a macbook pro to do the shoddy job with PhotoShop

Not what I thought. When I clicked on the link, it said it
"Want a rugged notebook, that doesn't exist yet?" (or something to that effect), which I tok to mean that a rugged notebook doesn't exist so make sure you use a rugged back up option (as LaCie is known for their ruggedized drives).

This is a terrible advertising campaign if they aren't actually making this laptop thing. Of course if anyone DID want a rugged laptop there are plenty around - Panasonic Toughbook, etc.
