Well, I've gotten this "green image" a couple of times, but a restart of photobooth always seems to work. I'll give the mic thing a try when I get home, thanks for the tip. Mine works great with 10.5.2, and as much as I'd prefer a matte screen on a laptop, this thing faces away from windows and picks up no glare. Overall, I love it and the aesthetics go well with the mac set up overall.

Update: got the mic working

Fixing webcam mic problem

Have Dell SP2208WFP working a treat with Mac Mini 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo on OS X 10.5.5, all bought a year ago. Never needed the microphone till now. Webcam fine but no audio being picked up on Skype. Solution lies here:

The webcam works great, and the mic too, but you have to change a setting to make it work.

1. Jump into Audio/Midi Setup (In Applications/Utilities)
2. In the bottom drop down, select properties for "Monitor Webcam"
3. Change the Format from 44100.0 Hz to 48000.0 Hz

That's it. Hope this helps

Windows XP Pro"

So now, good monitor, 3 years warranty, with web cam and mic both working fine. No drivers installed. Just plugged in using DVI cable - everything fantastic.

:)
