iPhone 6 and iPad 3 both on 8.1.1 Apple TV on latest software. Fine on iOS 7. Problems started with iOS 8.
I use the above to AirPlay tunein radio/spotify to my hifi via the Apple TV. The Apple TV won't wake from standby anymore. i.e. it has to be on before it will accept AirPlay.
When it's working I'm getting AirPlay suddenly stopping, without warning, and the audio switching to the iphone/iPad speaker on a regular basis.
As well as that audio will just stop and AirPlay/the app just freeze on occasions when the screen locks.
So... read that a few others have had this... Did 8.1.1 sort it out for you? Getting really annoyed TBH. Each iOS update is like whack-a-mole. Get a new feature, but we'll break another.
