New iphone 6

Don't remember it taking this long to get service...my 4s still has my service.

In itunes nothing is listed in phone number for new phone.

on new phone under network, it says "sim not provisioned"

don't want to call AT&T if this is just normal wait time.

Have done multiple times. Also toggled airplane mode. Toggled cellular data. Still nada.

go to settings, general, and erase at the bottom and try 'erase network settings' and then reboot. that's what i had to do.

Did you go through the process to activate the new sim card?

Usually requires going to a website or calling ...

let me know how it goes. there's always a chance that ATT messed something up and you'll need to call. but hopefully a network settings reset works.

Did not work. AT&T had monkeyed something up, but lady on the phone fixed it in a couple of minutes.

Just call ATT and have them do it. I stupidly waited hours last year.

Thanks. Your post convinced me to do just that. All fixed :)

Call ATT. Their automated service did it in under 3 minutes after waiting an hour for it to change on the phone by itself.

Awesome, glad it worked out. Enjoy the phone! :)

Having this problem. AT&T couldn't fix over the phone the first time. Practicing HUTA (hang up try again) to see if I get anything better. Ideas on other numbers to call to get past the queue?

Fixed it. Re-seated my SIM in the iPhone 6 and all is good. Did this while on hold for AT&T.

What did they tell you the first time? I'm being told the SIM is in use and I have to go to the AT&T store... and I am a brand new customer, I'm not transferring a sim

Someone I know couldn't connect today with new 6. Turned out to be bad SIM.

That's what they say when they don't know what's wrong. Swapping out the SIM won't hurt, it's just a PITA. Try pulling it out, turning the phone on, re-inserting it in the tray, and rebooting the phone.
