Geektool Anyone still using geektools?

    Yes.

    I don't know why anyone would stop if they've taken the time to set it up. It's very nice to have information you choose on your desktop . . . . if that's your thing.

    No, I rewrote my geeklets for use with Ubersicht. With this program you can use Coffee or Java scripts to display information on the desktop. It is still being developed, unlike Geektools. Some features Geektools has still needs to be implemented, eg. multi monitor support.

    is there a place to get scripts other than only through the app?

    Yes there are. Some of the geeklets I use come from appstorm and then I rework the script to suit my needs. The ones from the developers site are pretty decent and can all be reworked. There are many more out there with a search for geeklets or geektool script.
