Got mine in early 2006. Everything still works just fine, and the battery hasn't taken a large enough hit for me to justify replacing it.

This was my first iPod. The iPod 5th gen 60GB white. I got it replaced in 2007 when the screen cracked and got a 80GB. Before that I owned the iRiver one with like 16GB of storage red and it had that touch scroll wheel. I miss it really and wouldn't mind owning it again as a second player with my 64GB iPad and 32GB second gen touch.

Nothing much has changed with the 6th gen classic other then the storage, the firmware and the fact it's made out of allumaum and glass

I still have one, a 5.5th gen 80GB (sold my 5th gen 60GB). I'm keeping one, in case rockbox goes huge one day. ;)

I have three of them (only 2 work) cuz idiots at my high school always dropped them or left them on desks and usually never went back for them. I only use it in my car cuz I work in Baltimore and I wouldn't really care if it got stolen. :D

I also have an iPod classic. I don't take that to Baltimore haha.

I have a fifth gen and it still runs well. I will finally get a touch this year when the new one is released.

Main iPod. I cracked it open and replaced the battery and ramped the HD up from 30GB to 60. Had to open it a few more times to replace the headphone jack :(

I have less than 10GB left though, don't reallyyyyy want to replace it though.

Hard to believe, buy I still use my ipod 3rd gen daily. It's been hooked up to my stereo so gets a lot more use than either my nano or my touch.

Yes and I use it every day.

Speaking of old technology, it permanently lives in my Apple Hifi on top of the fridge.

Yes!! I love my iPod Video. Crazy that it's still kickin' after almost five years of good use! And I totally forgot about the Hi-Fi. Haha... sweetness.

Daily. My 5G 80gb was recently refreshed with a new battery. My 5.5G 30gig is untouched. I use one at work, the other in my car. The latent audiophile in me believes they sound a lot better than my 120gb Classic.

Pretty sure you mean "Apple Garamond". Anyway - I sold mine when the white plastic ring around the headphone jack broke. :(

Still own (and use regularly) the 4th generation click-wheel iPod from 2004 I replaced it with though. :)

I still have a good as new 60gb white one I bought when it first came out. It sits in my car's center console and is my mobile jukebox.

My trusty 30gig (bought in 2005) is still kickin'. I use it pretty much exclusively as a carPod these days, as I hate using a touch screen player (my iPhone) while driving. I still prefer the physical buttons that I can reach down and play with without taking my eyes off the road.

I've replaced at least half of that iPod by now. New battery, new HDD, new front piece, new center button... But hey, it still works wonderfully, does everything I need it to, and holds all of my stuff, so why bother to upgrade?

"iPod Photo". Have a couple of them myself. My first iPod - completely fell in love with it after playing with one in an Apple store. Prior to that, I'd spent a year grappling with the tiny controls and illegible display on a Creative Zen and absolutely hated it. Of course, the irony was that I'd bought the Zen and not the original monochrome screened iPod to save like $100. Ha! I learned about "false economy" hard way :)

(They don't play video BTW - but you can output a photo slideshow to your TV)

Yep, my 30 gig U2 edition is still up and running. The front is a little skuffed, but other than that it still works like new.
