Anyone successfully pay full retail for a 4S anywhere?

I want to buy a 4S but I don't want to bother with a contract extension. Has anyone had success buying a 4S from any retail store (Craigslist doesn't count) for 649 / 749 / 849 without messing with a contract?

If so please report in so I can do the same!

I, along with the gentleman behind me in line, purchased two at full retail price. It will still be locked to the network you choose, but you will not have to sign new contract.

I'd wait until next month and purchase from apple unlocked. Better resale value next year if sell it.
