I had iPad 1, 2, and 3 then bought the rMini. Loved the weight and size of the rMini, but ended up returning it because I just love the larger real estate of the full size iPad so bought the Air.

I owned an iPad 2 initially, but didn't enjoy using it much. Then when Mini came in, I bought it and enjoyed using it because I can bring it everywhere with me. Before the launching of retina mini, I sold it in anticipation.
Then iPad Air was announced. I was tempted, and bought it instead of rMini on the first day. Because of the longer-than-usual holiday return window, yesterday, I returned the Air for a rMini because the Mini just feels right at your hand, and Air, while much smaller compared to previous iterations, is still a bit too big for me. It is still great for watching movies and readings pdfs, but Mini just feels right.

I switched from an iPad 3 to the rMini. I always use the browser in landscape, so I haven't felt any downside so far to the smaller screen size.

Same here. I had iPads 1-3, but eventually realized that something smaller and less cumbersome would be so much better for me. I checked out the first Mini, but couldn't go back to a non-retina screen. I pretty much knew I was getting a Mini once they added the retina screen. I wavered briefly when the Air came out because it was so thin and light compared to the iPad 3, but by now the portability of Mini was where I wanted to be. For me, the full-sized tablets just became too big over time.

I still have the 3, and an HP touchpad, but they never get used anymore. The rMini is perfect for me.

I went from an iPad 3 to the new rMini and I am loving the new, smaller size of it. It fits my hands very well and the screen size is still big enough to be enjoyable and read web pages and books.

I use it so much every day that I frequently wear out the battery by the end of the day.
