As title says anyone considering switching from pixel 4 to 12 pro? I switched from iPhone 11 pro to pixel 4 XL only for the camera. While I very much like the pixel 4 camera i still prefer iOS to android.

Anyone switching to iPhone 12 pro from pixel 4 XL? I'd like to get their comments on how they enjoy the camera.

Was able to find one today at the local store. So here it is. Hopefully I like this enough to keep it.

Any update? How do you like iOS vs stock Android on the Pixel?
I really wanted to like the iPhone 12 pro and come back to iOS. Initial impressions so far. Great looking phone with amazing feel and build quality. Not surprisingly I found it small to hold coming from 4 XL. It’s been a week and surprisingly I’m m not enjoying the iPhone as much as I thought I would. I actually like some of the android gestures more. I always used to prefer the fluidity of iOS over android.

Have taken a few indoor photos on both phones and pixel 4XL photos are the same or better in some cases. My pixel 4 XL is as smooth as iPhone 12 pro in general use. I’m not a gamer or big into videos. So I don’t find any difference in regular use between my he two.

Some of the apps are definitely better on iOS.

I’ll be returning the 12 pro. Ordered the pixel 5 which will be my main driver from now onwards. Just can't justify CAD 1500 for the 12 pro.

The Pixel 5 is pretty smooth m, it's a bit small, but that's ok. Battery life on the Pixel 5 is insane.

I still find my Pixel 4 XL to be a beast, super fast smooth, high quality build and looks nice. It still feels like a flagship a year later.

I picked up the Pixel 5 too, and it's ok. A side grade, not an upgrade from the 4 XL. I would say the 4 XL is a hair smoother a little more fluid than the 5. And overall build quality is much nicer on the 4 XL.

Speakers, wow, the Pixel 5's really suck, especially the earpiece for phone calls, it's horrible, tinny cheap sound. If you actually use your smartphone for phone calls, stay away, it's terrible.

My honest impressions having both the Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 5, the 4 XL feels like the new 2020 phone, the Pixel 5 feels like a 2015 phone or something from years ago.

And I'm a huge Nexus / Pixel fan. I love stock Android phones. But the Pixel 5, to me is a disappointment.

I have the Pixel 5 (got the Pixel 4 and 3a before) and this one is by far my favourite (form factor, size, bezeless screen, battery life, ultra wide sensor, 90 hz screen, super smooth, etc.) I love it. And I am also looking for an iPhone 12 pro (likely Max) since I am usually using both Android and iOS phones.

Photography and battery life are my main requirements (side of the other basic usages.).

This year if I want the best and the greatest for photography and battery Life then I feel I have to go with the iPhone 12 PM while it’s size concern me a bit (taller than the previous 11 PM). Also as said by the OP, Apple price are not cheap!

This is a big issue for me. Ivebeen reading about it. There are mixed reviews about the speaker quality. Lot of people say they had no issues with phone calls.
I do a lot of calls and teams meeting on the phone. So having a proper speaker for calls is very important. I hope i don't end up returning it.

I’ve been a dedicated Android user since moving to the TMobile MyTouch 4g from Blackberry back in 2010. I’ve always HATED the glorified feature phone behavior of the iOS homescreen, but now that iOS 14 supports widgets and an app drawer I figured I’d give it a try. Plus Wifey and I both got very sick and tired of major Android features that we depend on heavily (ahem Android Auto) being a constantly rotating door of critical bugs making it randomly useless for significant periods of time. Google has some smart people working there, but good God do they need to focus on QA and product testing.

The wife and I are both migrating from Pixel 3 phones, and we both generally like the new iPhones. The hardware quality compared to Android phones is night and day - there is no contest whatsoever. Yes there are some serious limitations, most notably the lack of real multitasking, but it’s a small price to pay for a phone that has software that just works when called upon.

So Pixel or Android users, how do you like your move to the iPhone 12 line?

I like to hear from people that haven't had an iPhone in years, like iPhone 6 or something, or never owned an iPhone before at all. Those will give me the best opinions, not people that just had the iPhone X, that's too new, and means they like and know current iPhone's already.
