I normally don't do this but there won't be anyone to sign for the package when it arrives..so it's a vacation day for me. Initially I was going to go into the Apple store via an appointment but decided to just wait at home. Anyone else? Yes, I know I'm crazy.

I'm taking the day off, but not for the phone. I'll be getting surgery tomorrow (Thursday) and will be going home on Friday (iPhone 6S day). I'm really hoping for an afternoon delivery so I can be home in time to receive it! If not, does anyone here know what they do with deliveries in Australia? Will I have to get my husband to pick it up from the post office, or will they try delivery again the next day?
You having the old Android phone removed?
I have a reservation for 11:30 to get mine but that leaves me with just enough time to eat lunch and get back to the lab where I'll have to remain until 5:00. Afterwards I can go home and restore from backup to start enjoying the new phone.
I thought about it, but nah I'll probably still go to work. My daughter is having a friend spend the night on Friday and her birthday party is Saturday... I think I'd rather be out of the house while my wife frantically tries to get the place ready (honestly I'd prefer to help her out but I know when it's better just to stay out of her way!).
I took the day off for Vacation, iphone and three day weekend, yeah love my job.
Yep; I have plenty of vacation time so a three day weekend on top of a new phone was just too much to pass up.
We are in the same boat, I have lots of vacation so it was a no brainer. Lol.
Yep, I took a personal day Friday for phone pickup day. My reservation is at 8am, so I COULD have gone to work a little late, but I'm leaving for Hawaii (work trip) on Saturday morning, and have about 100 other things to do, so a whole day off made good sense!
I have to work. I'll be one of the many selling iPhones to all of you fine people. 10hr shift Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Let's Go!

I did but since we have to put our requests in a month early I took the 18th off figuring Apple would release the week after the keynote like usual. Thankfully I'm off at 5 so I'll have plenty of time to get the phone restored and play with it.
