Anyone tried this to hide Newsstand?

I am curious if anyone has actually tried it, I hate seeing newsstand and curious if anyone has read this, tried it, has feedback on it, etc

Nice I'll have to try when the Windows version comes out... I wish Newsstand, Stocks, Weather were like the Podcast app - an optional part of the OS, even if it came pre-installed, but can be deleted or re-downloaded from the Appstore.

When did Apple "fix" the previous solution? Mine has been in a folder for a while due to backups and still is on 5.1.(1?) on my 4S

As soon as I tried to rearrange apps in iTunes, Newsstand reverted back. I rearranged apps on the iPhone and then connected to iTunes and Newsstand remained inside a folder.

It worked, but then I synced and it came out of the folder again Had to restart my computer for StifleStand to work again.

IIRC you get bounced back to the home screen. You can force a folder within a folder, and newsstand is essentially a folder, but you can't access the inner folder. Been awhile since I tried this though and things may have changed.

Why would you want to hide newstand? For example, I have the NYTimes, New Yorker, The Magazine and Racecar Engineering on it; I keep mine on the first page. I can understand if it's Bible Stand or the Koran Stand but newstand, no way!
