Hi so I wanted to know if anyone has a Series 4 apple watch and has installed WatchOS 6 on it and ECG.

Specifically those locations where ECG is not officially supported for now, eg Mexico, India etc. Is ECG working after update to ver. 6 ?

Please advise. Thanks!

Ok thanks Joel but the only thing is I believe Switzerland is an officially supported location for ECG to work. India is not yet I believe?

The limitation is limited by licensing in various countries, not OS based.

Let’s wait for tomorrow’s apple event. Maybe they will announce ECG feature in India.

So no ECG in India yet. I've to use my USA s4 watch to run ECGs on my dad. Unfortunately I don't know who is to blame for this delay - Indian laws or Apple's priorities?

Finally ECG function is supported, I was on iOS 13.1 beta 3 when I installed the watchOS 6 GM I noticed the ECG icon in Apple Watch but no setup on the phone so went back to iOS 13 clean install and now I can set it up and did my first ECG. FINALLY the function is supported in INDIA and the watch was bought in india.

Yes now ECG is supported in India on W OS 6. Plus notifications AFB etc.
