Going from a SG aluminum 5 to the midnight 7. My 5’s battery is already at 80%. The 5 will go to my daughter. My 7 will go to her next year when I get the 8.

I have series 5 space black SS. It’s in perfect condition and has 89% battery left. I wait for next year I hope for a redesign than and a comeback for space black SS.

I also have a Space Black Stainless steel 44mm Watch. Along with that I have the Space Black Milanese Loop band and the Space Black links band. I have many other bands from Apple and other 3rd party but my main concern are the 2 expensive Apple Space Black bands.

I need to get a new watch which matches the 2 bands.

I usually avoid getting aluminum models because they scratch easily and honestly they look like toys.

Watches are meant to be in Stainless Steel.

Unfortunately the graphite stainless steel just doesn’t match the space black links band nor the space black Milanese band so nicely.

I find the space black titanium watch matches the 2 bands better but the titanium Watch looks a lot like the aluminum Watch from last year. Will a space black titanium watch look nice with a space black links band???

I watch to upgrade but confused what to do.

The thought of a completely new Apple Watch look with a faster processor, better battery, more storage and probably better colors releasing in just about 10 months is not helping either.

For you it’s easy because you are getting the cheaper aluminum watches which will not hurt upgrading every year.

Going with stainless steel or titanium needs one to make a decision with a lot of thought. This time even so because we all know Apple Watch 8 will be something we will all want to upgrade to.
Faster processor, new look and better battery being the main reasons.

I am happy with my 5, but might upgrade to the 7 anyway. Probably stainless since I have more $$ in bands than in the watch. I would like to see Titanium in person, however, so might hold out until I make it to an Apple store.

The space black titanium watch goes well with the space black links band. That is what I have noticed.

The stainless steel graphite is not as good with the space black links band

Series 5 to 7 is fine, but definitely not Series 6 to 7.
I like to upgrade my Apple gear every year but this Series 7 update is really too minor.

i thought the same but i did upgrade to S7 (mostly because i just wanted a new color case, i was tired of black and space gray) from S6. it’s a shockingly big update with it on my wrist, easily the biggest update for me since S3->S4. the new screen size is transformative and is MUCH larger in a very good way, more so than the keynote and reviews made it seem. S6->S7 for me was much bigger than S4->S6 (even with S6 adding always on, O2, and new CPU).

Yes the screen is bigger but I don’t find it to be that big.

It is probably in the mind because we know that the screen is bigger and so we make our minds believe this it is so much bigger.

Hope the watches don’t get any bigger than 45mm. We don’t a r to watch videos on a watch.

We have the iPhones and iPads for that.

Coming from a SS 44mm series 5 and got the Nike 45mm series 7 Midnight I will tell you this: the AOD is crazy bright when not activated. It seems almost like the inactive screen is as bright as the active display on my old Series 5. DAMN it is nice.

Did you ever find your answer? I am also wondering about how the Space Black Titanium watch 7 looks with the space b lack metal bands.
