i seen a tech 21 case with sort of a matte back from the Apple Store , does anyone use this ? If so how is it and is it any better than lifeproof fre or the commuter ?

Which case? There is the impact clear in smoke which is ok. I personally like tech 21, just think they are overpriced

I did for my 4s, 5s and 6. Good cases, bit pricey as mentioned. Have since moved on to cases like Incipio NGP, Spigen Liquid Armor, Ringke Onyx and now Silk Basegrip for my 7.

Honestly (and I'm not a klutz), I found the alternatives I mentioned (particularly the Ringke and Silk) perform just as well for a percent of the cost. Silk was just $10.49 recently at Amazon.

I tried one of their cases for my 6s plus, made the phone too wide to hold comfortably and I'm a big guy. I agree with the other poster, they are overpriced.

I'm not a fan of Tech21 personally. When I've bought their cases, they've had stiff buttons, been over-priced, and not offered any RATED drop protection. No thanks.
