Never had a case on for any previous iPhone, but I find the 6 darn too slippery to use without one especially when trying to hold it in landscape for video shooting. One must have crazy glue lathered on their fingertips to feel like they're holding it securely when it's naked.

I do. The only case I will use is apple leather cases as I feel they are the only ones that actually accent the design of the iPhone and provide enough protection and grippability for my needs. I still prefer to use it naked as much as possible though I like the cold feel of the metal just as much as the leather.

I agree!! The Apple leather case is beautiful! I just keep taking it off because I love the metal feel! Nothing beats the feel of the cold metal!

All of the time....especially before I get dressed to lecture at the universiy. Of course, having worked in the counter-terrorism intelligence field many years ago, my fear is that NSA might enable my camera and capture naughty photos of me in highly compromised positions (e.g. bending over, using the toilet, etc.)....shame shame..... ;)

Don't you hate how removing the case changes the mute switch location lol

Also, one of the reasons I don't like the case is that it collects ALOT of lint in the port cut outs!!! My 5s is white, so you can see EVERY piece of lint/debris on it! I literally have to take it out of the case and clean it every night! Lol. I think thats one of the biggest reasons I'm leaving it naked! Lol

I did until a couple of days ago. I dropped my original about 2 weeks ago and shattered the screen. So I got the replacement, put the body skin on it then put it in a thin clear rubber-like case that covers the sides and back.

I use a case mainly to make the phone lie flat...drop protection is just the added bonus.

One thing I have noticed though is that the oleophobic coating on the iPhone 6 seems to be weaker than the iPhone 5. So, I use a tempered glass screen protector. Oddly, the tempered glass feels smoother than the original display

That drop looks bad.

Gonna use my 4S with just a front and back glass protector when it arrives soon. Getting it as my first iPhone specifically because it's my favorite design ever, why ruin it? I'm just going to be extra careful with it. Barely take it out if I'm walking outside. Too scared to go completely naked though, with the screen protectors on i'll feel good just setting it down on any surface. Also don't want to scuff/scratch the oleophobic coating.

No case. I did yard work all day yesterday. Completely forgot my iPhone 6 was in my left front jeans pocket. Somehow I managed neither to shatter the glass, scratch, or BEND it. Apple's health app said I took 12,000 steps. No damage whatsoever: I must be holding it wrong. ;)

I have a thin Power Support case now. It is the next best thing to no case. I saw someone using an Otterbox the other day on a 6 Plus and it may have been the biggest ugliest case I ever saw. But if people like them they should use them.

you got the 4S?? Awesome!!!

I agree! I had a Zagg glass screen protector put on and I think the screen feels 100 times better! Smudges are less noticeable too! Big fan of the tempered glass protectors! I've never liked any other screen cover before (always ripped them off after a day of use).

Still no case. :)

Question for those of you like me, who use only a glass screen protector... Do you lay the phone face down on a table or face up?

I use mine naked, always have. I never understood the reason to have a sexy device if you are just going to put an ugly bulky case on it. I also don't use screen protectors because I hate the feel of them compared to glass.

This is my fifth iPhone and I haven't had a problem other then once when someone at a party spilled something on it while I had it sitting on a table. I have gotten lucky with a few drops tho. A risk I'm willing to take because it doesn't happen often.

Let's clear something up about this term.

The iPhone 6+, or any iPhone before it, have never come "naked." They all have nice sweet designed cases which Apple spends an inordinate amount of time educating us about in their videos. NAKED also implies there is something missing, that you need something to replace it... when in fact an iPhone without an external case is not missing anything at all.

A better metaphor might relate to whether you put a hat or jacket on your iPhone. The use of the term naked is just silly on an inanimate object and sounds like juveniles in the movie PORKY'S trying to make everything sound like sex.

There is no such thing as a "naked" iPhone, okay? Good...

I have a square trade insurance plan and I am considering using it naked. I love the feeling of it naked but it kind of scares me

the 5s used to chip so easily that I used it with a case most of the time (mainly apple leather). I was excited about the 6 not having a chamfered edge so it wouldn't be as sensitive, but it's so dang slippery! I'm using it mostly with the apple leather case but sometime at home I take that off.
