I recently started using AirFoil to stream my Spotify to my AppleTV.

It is $25 bucks and it works great, but I can't search and add new music while I am streaming the content because of some firewall blocking it. I don't want to buy the full version just yet if there is another, cheaper way.

Anyone use anything else to accomplish this?

I don't think there's anything else, and if so, wouldn't you have the same firewall problem?

I use Airfoil to stream Spotify to my Apple TV, and have no issues with searching, etc. What type of error are you getting? It should work fine... Lets see if we can troubleshoot it a bit!

Airfoil is excellent, but since you have an iPhone and iPad, there is a free way to stream Spotify to AppleTV. Start Spotify on your phone, then lock the screen. Then double-tap the Home button to get the music controls, there will be the icon to choose where you want to the music to stream to, select AppleTV from there.

I use Airfoil too, and really i think it is excellent

Worth thinking about too is that you can use Airfoil for streaming different sources to different places.

This has come in handy for me several times for sending audio from various apps to an airport express.
