I am curious as it has iOS 10 so I figure at least a few people might be. And how is the sound quality?

iPod touch Anyone Using Airpods With 6th Gen Touch?

Functionality and sound quality will be EXACTLY the same as with any other device running iOS 10.
About half the iOS devices in my sig are running iOS 10 and the other half are running iOS 9. The AirPods work fine with both. Sound quality is very good for this type of in-ear device, better than the standard wired earbuds and they stay in my ears MUCH better.
