Anyone using Magic Lantern firmware for Canon 5D MkII ?

I am mostly interested in the extended auto-bracketing, and not video at this time. Seems like it would be quite easy to use, and that the factory firmware would still be there when you power the camera on without using a SD card that has Magic Lantern firmware on it.

anyone care to report their experience ?

Hi Sunnyj,
since I'm not doing video, I tend to not use LiveView that much , but mostly navigate the menu (see attached) using the joystick. I find the canon menu very easy to navigate.

before I try ML, perhaps you can respond to a few questions since I could quite understand from the wiki.

1) With ML, are you still able to use this menu, or must you use a completely different ML menu (accessed in LiveView via picture styles button)?

2) does the ML menu include all the items on the canon menu for photos ? (Iso, fstop, EV comp, etc etc)

3) to go back to std. menu, do you need to remove/reinsert the batteries?

yes you can still use the quick canon menu only if live view is disabled. ML menu is only available in live view mode
2) does the ML menu include all the items on the canon menu for photos ? (Iso, fstop, EV comp, etc etc)
no, ML menu only includes items related to ML not iso, comp ect.
3) to go back to std. menu, do you need to remove/reinsert the batteries?
either turn the camera off and on or pull the battery out
see bold
