anyone want to try out facetime with me?

Just tried it with my buddy, both on strong wifi, I called him, and there was no facetime button on either of our phones. What gives? Is there a setting I need to turn on.

Yes there is a setting under "phone" with a slider to turn FAcetime on and then it will "activate" after a minute or so and then you can use it.
 
well since we are on the subject of dogs 2 here is mine he is going blind:( but he is still my little side kick

Really want the iP4 for the FaceTime. Didn't want to brave the lines today. Bought AppleCare 2 years for 3GS, don't know if Apple will transfer 1 year to iP4?

Here's my dog, the black furry puppy, 6 month old Newfie, ton o fun!

I'd love to try Facetime with someone, too! Prefer another female, as I think my husband would be concerned about me giving strange men from the Internet my phone number :) PM if you want to try it out!

You can also go straight to Facetime by bringing your buddy's contact info up in the address book; there's a Facetime button on the lower right side of the contact info screen. Works fine on the same WiFi network; I haven't tried it yet on different networks.

Oh, and don't forget to enable it: Settings->Phone then swipe FaceTime button to On...

Will be probably early next week till a few of my other friends get the IP4 so looking to try out facetime as well if anyone is still looking. I'm a guy so of course female would be less awkward!

I have a great view from my apt in NYC that I can show btw!

did some facetime with my gf both on strong wifi connections. it was extremely choppy, couldnt hear anything, and dropped the call each and every time we tried it. im pretty disappointed with the facetime feature

although the rest of the phone is diesel

Still have yet to take the plunge to i4 yet though (t-Mobile user).:D

hey give me a call with the facetime im dying to try it got my phone onthe 30th of july and no one else around here has it i was one of 5 people to get it and the others didnt even live around here hahah
 
Hey I'm a girl and go on macrumors quite often! Even though I'm 16 and have a life hahah but when I'm bored I go on here :) I lovee my iPhone 4 and get some pretty good info on here
