I noticed I get a Kernel Panic on reboot on my M1 Mac, whenever Ruby is used. I couldn't understand why as I don't directly use Ruby, but Home-brew does.

Anyone have an M1 MacBook with homebrew on it able to test for me with latest version of HB (3.0)?

Can you just do something normal like `brew list` and then reboot and see if you get a KP:

`watchdog timeout: no checkins from watchdogd in 305 seconds (18 totalcheckins since monitoring last enabled), shutdown in progress`

I haven't tried native Homebrew yet, but I set my iTerm app to open using Rosetta and everything I've installed via Homebrew works perfectly so far. Still need to test the new version that just came out.

Homebrew 3 no problems here with KP after reboot

chris@MacBook-Air-M1 ~ % brew --version
Homebrew 3.0.0

chris@MacBook-Air-M1 ~ % brew list
nmap openssl@1.1

You can install node using brew. Takes a while because it has to compile it. Been using it for Angular projects and it works fine (so far).

okay, mostly i do swift ui in m1 and react native in intel. Since the customer insist the trend react native if still not working i work on my old laptop 2011 . Will try back next week 🙂

Had prior version of Homebrew running with Rosetta on MBA M1 without issue. Just uninstalled it to update to new AS version.
