My iBook connects fine with our D-Link router. My dad's HP Pavillion on the other hand.... It often won't connect to the internet! The desktop always connects.

We had a Linksys router first, but had issues with that. The D-Link one works much better.

I hope the Linksys one works for you!

Bad Routers...

To be honest, I've heard almost nothing good about (and had no good experiences myself with) D-Link, Netgear, Belkin and Linksys. If you can return your routers to the store, then I'd recommend it. Much more stable routers are Apple's Airport routers and Buffalo's line of routers. I have two D-Link wireless access points, but I don't broadcast my signal with them. I've never had any trouble with Buffalo, and they have free 24/7 tech support in case you do. Can't comment on that, but I've never had to call it!
