Sadly I have to agree. 24 hours with the new case. It feels cheap! The real leather is almost unnoticed with all the cheap plastic around it.
So much plastic makes it as slippery as the naked iphone (I thought the leather will provide bit more grip).
And it really doesn't feel "thin". The square edges give it somewhat bulky feeling.

Sadly due to the fact that the Caze is in Hong Kong (and their return policy) I don't think I will return it.

Now I need to find a low footprint (thin!) bumper that is not flush with the screen (so can be placed screen side on desks etc.)

Less than 48 hours and I am no longer using this case. Back to the search. In the meantime Egrips, nothing more until I find a better thinner bumper.
Probably won't return it. Not worth the hassle shipping back to Hong Kong on my expense and then getting only partial refund.

Well...finally... got it on Sat...they posted one extra front screen protector for delay shipment.

There're some pics:

It does looks like cheap and some tiny scratches on the sides, did they delivery an old case to me?

There is a little space between the edges and bumper, I am not sure whether they sticked the gold edges on the case. But I am worried about how long they will be separated as many pieces.

The bumper is really light and fit much tight on iPhone 5s, here is the current case from switcheasy for my iPhone 5s. This case makes 5s's weight as iPhone 4s's. But thin edge bumper will not do that.

Switcheasy Bonds, Caze New ThinEdge Bumper for iPhone 5s, Broken Caze ThinEdge Bumper for iPhone 4s

I believe the new thinedge bumper will do good job as the one for iPhone 4s.(It was dropped on marble floor and broken. But it did great protection for dropping on concrete, 4-5 times.)

The new thin edge bumper is really thin, maybe just 1mm high than the iPhone 5s. Thus, I can not say it will suit for any screen protector (Mine comes from power support, and there is a little bubble because extrusion. You should think about it if you may want to put one glass screen protector on your device)

My stages is: put the bumper firstly, then, stick the back film on my 5s. (I just ignore the little bubble on the left corner of front screen)

I do not take a high recommend to this bumper, and its price is a little high(£12), hardly to put on and take off (The button which is written with CAZE is really hard to take off). I do not know whether it will scratch my device, at least, it does not in the past 48 hours.
The sticked edges/sides does not fit much close into the bumper, you need to consider about that if you are gonna to pick leather or wood one up.

It would be a good choice if you need one thin and tight product for your device's edges to avoid broken from dropping.
You do not pick this bumper up if you need put any glass protector or any other thick screen protector on your device.

I may take the screen protector off and look for other back protector film a few days later. Because I can not bear there are 4-5 bubbles on the back.
So, I suggest you put your new thinedge bumper on your device firstly and put the attached protector films later.

I just got mine today, mine came with an extra rear protector in the shipping bag.

I am currently using the older design of the thin edge and I will be sticking with the old one. There are two things that are preventing me from recommending the new design.

There is a bigger lip around the front and back, so my mime feather screen protector doesn't fit correctly, or at least it doesn't fit how mine was placed.

The biggest downside is shown in the pics that the last poster provided. The inset metal sits flush at some seems but not at others. It looks really crappy.
