Same here. The preauthorization for the full amount showed up in my pending transactions about 1 minute ago. Coincidentally, today is my payment day so I logged in a few minutes ago to make sure it went through. When I logged in, the charge didn't show up. I just refreshed and there it was.

Same here. The preauthorization for the full amount showed up in my pending transactions about 1 minute ago. Coincidentally, today is my payment day so I logged in a few minutes ago to make sure it went through. When I logged in, the charge didn't show up. I just refreshed and there it was.
I ordered mine with AT&T premier store at 6:56 am. I haven't got a single charge to my debit card and the order shows its processing. The confirmation email says the card wil be charged when the phone ships so I wasn't worried, but reading on this thread kind of worries me that something might be wrong.
I called my bank and they didn't see any activity. When they looked at my check card, they saw the transaction for $0.00, but it was stopped by the bank for mismatched information. They said they changed the information, but that they couldn't approve the order and it probably wouldn't go through. When this happens, will Apple allow you to change your billing info?
Just looked again, they have a pending authorization for the full price of the phone.

I got the confirmation e-mail and web order # etc. for ship as soon as Sept 21, but so many people are being charged asap, hope that doesn't mean a delay. Who knows?
My mom's card has two pending $1.00 transactions from Apple (for the two phones) and also two pending transactions for the price of each device. My order status also moved to processing about an hour ago. So I believe all is well. I was worried because her name isn't on my Verizon account, and I didn't use her billing address for the shipping address. But it seems this is not an issue.
yup, bank of america emailed me notifying me of the purchase. hopefully it's going through customs in china as i type this! 
My card still has not been charged, but at the Apple order page it says my items are processing. Do I have to worry about cancellations at this point?
I ordered at 2:07 Central through apple's App store app, and card was charged at 3:03am central full amount.
My card just had a hold placed on it for $398 for the 32 gig and applecare+
My son got same phone but they have 2 holds on his account one for the same $398 the other for $99 which is a separate apple care cost. I sure hope this drops off as there should be just 1 charge for applecare and its combined in the first hold with the phone cost

lol yeah I saw that, not a big deal I suppose... so does it look legit for only having the $1 transaction from my bank?
Nobody should be worrying about the staus of their order based on what was or was not charged or authorized on their card. Everyone will have a different experience so don't worry if what the last guy says happened to him didn't happen to you.
Last year I had my iPhone in my hand for about a week before I was finally charged. I never had so much as a pre-auth on my card. Nothing at all until a week after I received it.

I ordered my iPhone after preorders went live through the Apple Store at 3:00 AM today (east-coast based). I got an email from my credit card saying it was posted this morning.
