Every White 42mm Sport Watch that was ordered between 3:00-3:05am EST seems to be shipping, and I ordered mine at 3:05amEST and I got a message telling me to change my payment... I think i just lost my spot in line... anyone know anything about this?

I switched to a working card about 2 minutes after realizing the previous payment was declined. I wonder if they have hours during the day where they dedicate processing orders...

My card was declined and I couldn't understand why as I have more than enough money to cover. I updated my card on the website and it was immediately charged. My status didn't change so I called Apple. The rep I spoke with was more than happy to make sure everything looked good on her end and told me I had put the incorrect expiration date the first time (why the card was declined). Immediately after hanging up my order went to preparing. Could just be coincidence.
It's Apple Pay!
In my case, it seems like it was Apple Pay. My bank saw an attempt had been made by Apple, but they denied they, the bank, had refused payment. I just called CS and they put the card info in directly (skipping the Apple Pay step). They claim my card works now.

Mine was "declined" because I removed the card I used from Apple Pay after ordering. Once I updated my payment info, my card was charged immediately, and my order status was changed to "preparing for shipment" within an hour. You're perfectly fine!
Hmm i wonder if this is my case, ordered 42mm Aluminum SG sport, my confirmation email came in at 3:03am using apple pay, never got any notification that it was declined everything seemed to go ok but i have yet to be charged or have status change to preparing.
They should send you an email to say they're having a payment issue. That's what they did in my case.
2 hours since changing payment... no switch was made.... called apple and they were really nice but couldn't override the system... BITING MY NAILS RIGHT NOW.... I HATE WAITING

Another thing I just realized: Payment is still pending, hasn't actually 100% gone through, if that makes a difference.
Yeah my bank account doesn't have any notification at all of payment, it still shows my amazingly full balance lol
