I've been using ByteController (which lets you control iTunes from your menu bar) for a few weeks now and it's decent to say the most. My problem with it is that it doesnt remain open all the times. It opens at startup but sometimes when I wake up my computer from sleep it won't be in the menu bar even after 10minutes or so. And at other times it just leaves the menu bar for whatever reason. I'm looking for free alternative now. I need something that will let me control iTunes from the menubar and will always remain open (even after restarting) unless I choose to manually close it. Thanks.

i had the same problem. prolly a hardware issue. I use sizzlingkeys

very good stuff, uses key commands, it has a lot of features. it's free and you can pay if you want even more features

oh menubar? oh lol i dunno, check that link tho, prolly has something likethat but prolly will be shareware
