Anyway to create a folder from file name?

I have a bunch of ota hd shows that I have copied onto one of my hard drives. I am planning on using either xmbc or plex to sort of all of my media and play it back, but both of those application require that each movie has it's own folder and that the movie be placed inside that folder. So I was wondering if anyone new of any application that could create folder names from a file names, and then drop in the files into those folders?

I've used The Big Mean Folder Machine with some success. I think it's only Leopard (not sure about SL) and it has a big warning about moving files into folders versus copying, so be careful. I've used it with small batches with success.

plex doesn't require the movies to be in folders, mine works just fine with all the movies in the same folder.

The TV shows do, but that should be fairly easy if you hadn't already done that.
