When I purchased my Mac Studio about a month ago, I didn’t have the $400 to select 64GB and bought the base model with 32GB. Well I had no idea I would have the $400 only a month later. I would rather have 64GB since I already maxed out the ram once when doing some heavy audio recording and mixing with a boatload of plugins and full studio of instruments and midi controllers.

What can I do to get the 64GB model? You think Apple will have mercy on me and allow me to exchange a month later?

Apple only has 14 days. But you can always ask. Since you want to upgrade they might relent.
I would call and ask to escalate to a manager.

Don't mention the money issue, mention that you are running into professional issues with audio production. It's their professed sweet spot. Based on all the reviews you could not predict that 32GB is not enough.

When I purchased an Macbook from an Apple store I was told that the official return window was 14 days but the manager has the descretion to extend the window to 30 days.
