Resolved Anyway to make a "half" sign (1/2) in a table in pages?

In case the title isn't clear:

I'm trying to make the sign for a half aka "1/2" so that it's clear I mean a half rather than one slash two.

Hopefully that makes sense?

Do you mean this? ½

If so, it's a simple unicode character and you'll find in the character picker in if you type "half".

Yep, that's what I'm looking for.
Though I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by character picker?
I don't see that option come up anywhere when I type "half" or "1/2" or anything.

Go to Menu Bar>Edit>Emoji & Symbols. Once the window opens, go to digits and you are all set. Screenshots below.
